Bribery Biden Snubs NYC Mayor Visit After Fiery Criticism

'Everybody knows where I am...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) During his visit to the UN General Assembly this week, President Joe Biden conspicuously snubbed NYC Mayor Eric Adams, escalating the simmering tension between the two men over illegal immigration. This move came after the city’s scathing criticism of Biden’s open border policy.

Biden opted for campaign events and engagements at the UN in Manhattan rather than meeting with Adams, the New York Post reported on Tuesday.

“Everybody knows where I am,” Adams responded when asked about Biden’s absence. “You guys know where I am all the time. We release if we’re going to be with the president or not.”

The mayor also drew attention to the financial impact of illegal immigration embroiling the city. “I am hoping that he understands this beautiful city that’s the economic engine of the entire country is been saddled with a $2 billion,” Adams added.

Adams continued, “New York doesn’t deserve this, the asylum seekers don’t deserve this. And so while he’s here, I think that they should really reflect on, New York City has done its part.”

This snub wasn’t the first time Biden had faced criticism for his actions regarding New York City. He previously faced backlash for skipping the city on the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, drawing ire from U.S. veterans. “It is a terrible look,” a City Hall individual remarked of Biden’s latest snub.

Adams and Biden have recently found themselves at odds over immigration policies. Adams has repeatedly warned that Biden’s open border approach will “destroy New York City.”

In a bold statement on Sept. 6., Adams declared, “Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don’t see an ending to this. … The city we knew, we’re about to lose.”

Furthermore, during Vice President Kamala Harris’s visit to the city for the 9/11 memorial, she mostly ignored Adams while reportedly engaging in friendly exchanges with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul.
