Manhunt Intensifies as Immigrant Fugitive Invades Philadelphia Home w/ Children Inside

'We pulled more people in through the night last night...'

(Luis CornelioHeadline USA) Approximately 400 law enforcement officers are intensively scouring Chester County, Pennsylvania, in a relentless manhunt for an escaped convict.

Danelo Cavalcante had been awaiting transfer to a state facility before he escaped from Chester County Prison on August 31, the New York Post reported on Saturday.

Cavalcante, a Brazilian native who had entered the country illegally, had been sentenced to life in prison for the brutal murder of his girlfriend, Deborah Brandao. The gruesome incident unfolded in front of Brandao’s traumatized children, aged 7 and 3.

Pennsylvania State Police Lt. Col. George Bivens expressed the urgency of the situation, saying, “We pulled more people in through the night last night. We have got numerous tactical teams that are out doing searches.”

Recent developments indicate that Cavalcante has been seen in the vicinity, with two confirmed sightings reported on Friday.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the search area has expanded, spanning from Conservatory Rd. to State Route 52 and Street Rd. to Longwood Rd., as authorities attempt to close in on the fugitive.

Disturbing security footage captured Cavalcante entering the home of a Philadelphia family, where children were present.  This alarming breach of security has intensified concerns among residents and law enforcement, highlighting the urgency of capturing Cavalcante.

Adding to the turmoil surrounding this case, it has been revealed that a tower guard at Chester County Prison was fired for negligence. According to the Post, the guard claimed he did not witness the escape and failed to report the missing felon.

Cavalcante’s criminal history extends beyond U.S. borders, with charges related to a 2017 murder in Brazil prompting his migration to America.
